Training in Responsible Conduct of Research

University of Michigan’s online Program for Education and Evaluation in Responsible Research and Scholarship (PEERRS) courses provide training required per university, state, and federal regulations regarding responsible conduct of research (RCR).

Certification Process

Go to http://my.research.umich.edu/peerrs/ to register for and complete the modules Responsible Conduct of Research and Scholarship Training and Human Subjects Research Protections. Record course completion  and send certificates to the program director. PEERRS certifications are valid for three (3) years from the last completion date.

PEERRS Modules

Responsible Conduct of Research and Scholarship Training introduces the key concepts and elements that foster ethical research and scholarship practices.

Human Subjects Research Protections explains the regulatory requirements and ethical consideration to project human research subjects.
