Master of Science (MS) in Epidemiological Science

The accelerated (1-year) Master of Science (MS) in Epidemiological Science degree prepares students for careers in research. This 30-credit program is intended for students with a strong quantitative background who either 1) already hold a doctoral degree (e.g., MD, DDS, DVM, PhD) or advanced clinical degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, DDS, DNP, PsyDPT, RN), 2) are currently enrolled in an MD or clinical PhD program at the University of Michigan, or 3) hold an undergraduate degree in public health along with at least one graduate-level course in public health. The program is completed in two terms (one academic year).

Master of Science (MS) in Computational Epidemiology and Systems Modeling

The 2-year Master of Science (MS) in Computational Epidemiology and Systems Modeling program trains students to become highly skilled epidemiologists who can understand and analyze real-world public health problems with mathematical and statistical models. The program is organized around the four core areas: epidemiology, mathematical modeling, statistics and computing/programming.
