Through the SPH mentorship program(s), you will gain access to take the Clifton Strengths Assessment. CliftonStrengths will help you discover your top talent themes. By becoming aware of these talents, you can develop them into strengths. These strengths can be applied in all aspects of your life, including career planning and the career search process.

The assessment is all about focusing on your natural talents to maximize your potential. You will also be able to incorporate your results into your mentoring relationships. Integrating Clifton Strengths into a mentor/mentee relationship allows for a more deliberate and strategic approach to personal and professional development. This can lead to more productive, fulfilling, and enduring mentorship experiences too.

The University Career Center, School of Public Health Careers Team, and Development and Alumni Engagement team will be hosting two Clifton Strengths workshops to assist you in interpreting your results and integrating these discussions into your mentoring relationships. Students in the mentorship program, or those who have taken the assessment elsewhere, are invited to join one or both workshops.
