Alexandra (Alex) Donnelly is a Health Policy Advisor in the Center for Health Policy & Health Services Research, a part of Henry Ford Health. In this role, Alex works to analyze the impact of federal and state legislation and regulations on Henry Ford Health’s operations and costs. As part of her role, Alex assists in the development of policy positions, crafting comment letters, and coordinating issues for the system. Alex has worked on a wide variety of topics, including the healthcare workforce shortage, immigration, and behavioral health.

Alex is dedicated to using policy to address issues of access and equity in healthcare and promoting healthy communities through good public health practice. Alex has a particular interest in Medicaid policy, behavioral health, and workforce issues. She is a member of the Alumni Board for the Department of Health Management and Policy at University of Michigan School of Public Health and a Board Member for the Great Lakes Invitational Conference Association.

Alex received her bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan and her Master of Public Health at University of Michigan School of Public Health.
