5th Annual Health Policy Case Competition

The Health Policy Student Association is holding its 5th Annual Health Policy Case Competition on Saturday, March 29th from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm. Undergraduate and graduate students interested in health policy are encouraged to participate! Registration is free and closes on Monday, March 17th at 11:59 pm, so sign up quickly! Participating students can form a team of 3-4 or join individually to be placed on a team. Up to 16 teams will compete to craft innovative policy solutions to a pressing public health matter for the state of Michigan. Teams will have one week to craft their solution and submit it in the form of a 2-page policy brief and a powerpoint presentation on their proposed solution. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams at the end of the competition. The 5th Annual Health Policy Case Competition also features a keynote from Dr. Brittany Tayler. Dr. Tayler is a working clinician and an Assistant Professor at the MSU-Hurley Pediatric Public Health Initiative, where she focuses on advocacy and community engagement, particularly concerning tobacco, novel nicotine products, cannabis, and substance use disorders.
