Addressing Traumatic Events that Occur Outside of the Classroom IN the Classroom
University of Michigan School of Public Health
3750 SPH I, 1415 Washington Heights Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2029

The Community of Teaching Initiative (COTI) is a group of educators within the School of Public Health that is coming together to create events and spaces where all of us involved in the practice of teaching can join together to build a stronger sense of community and to enhance our teaching skills. One of the events we will host each month are "Lunch and Learn" sessions where any interested faculty members, post-docs, GSI's, staff members and others involved in teaching activities are invited to bring your lunch (we will provide light snacks and beverages) and engage in a participatory discussion about teaching. Each "Lunch and Learn" will begin with an identified facilitator introducing a topic and sharing ideas and insights for about 10 minutes, followed by an interactive discussion. This event if our first "Lunch and Learn" activity.
