The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need to combat misinformation in all areas of public discourse with accurate public health guidance and expertise. This one-hour virtual session will provide faculty with an overview of many of the ways they can share their expertise with the public—from media interviews and speaking engagements to social media and podcasts—as well as channels and resources available through the school and the university. This session will be led by Andrea LaFerle, director of marketing and public relations at SPH, and Erica Colaianne, assistant director of social media and public engagement for U-M. While the content of this session will be targeted to faculty, staff and students are welcome to register. A Zoom link will be sent to registered attendees.
