The Arab Health Summit serves as a platform for public health leaders and researchers in the United States to connect with their global counterparts, including in the MENA (Middle Eastern and North African) region, for a unique opportunity to exchange best practices and develop research relationships that may build sustainable public health infrastructure globally. The summit theme for this year is Advancing Health Equity for Women Amidst a Pandemic. Our goal is to address issues that impact women’s health locally and globally with a special focus on bridging the gender gap that exists within our homes, communities, and healthcare settings. Some of the topics that will be covered during the summit will focus on maternal and infant health, mental health and substance abuse disorders, ageing, infectious diseases, domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, and chronic diseases. The conference will have a special focus on creating partnerships committed to improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable populations in the context of the pandemic locally and globally.
