As part of this year’s DEI efforts and programming, we have implemented a new school-wide initiative: “Chat with the DEI Team”. DEI Team Chats are one-hour virtual meetings that are intended to create space for dialogue and create opportunities for the DEI team to hear the community’s input and enhance engagement with the school’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Please join us if you:
- have a burning question or two you’d like to ask the DEI Team!
- want to provide feedback about current and future DEI initiatives and priorities (or ask about a past priority or initiative that’s been on your mind)!
- have suggestions, ideas or resources, for new initiatives or programming in your department that you want to share (or maybe you want to hear from others)!
- want to troubleshoot a DEI challenge in your own department or propose a focused topic for future discussion!
You are also encouraged to join us even if you don’t have anything specific in mind, but you’d just like to support and be in community with others! For now, DEI chats will take place over Zoom. We anticipate an informal exchange to encourage spontaneous conversation, and all (faculty, staff, students, and research fellows) are invited to join! As a new and developing initiative, the chats will evolve over time in response to community input and feedback. We hope that you will be a part of these important conversations!
