On May 17th, Big Hearts for Seniors will present Big Hearted Stories: Journeys which will be held in front of a live audience at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theater. This engaging program will provide a platform for talented local storytellers to share their heart-warming, true-life experiences around the theme of ‘Journeys’. The event will feature emcee and storyteller Dr. Vic Strecher, Professor of Health Behavior and Health Education in the U-M School of Public Health. Big Hearts for Seniors is comprised of five community-supported programs of Michigan Medicine that serve older adults. Together, Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels, Housing Bureau for Seniors, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Silver Club Memory Programs, and the Turner Senior Wellness Program help seniors seeking access to home-delivered meals, sustainable housing options, support to remain independent, learning in retirement opportunities, relief from social isolation, and programs for those with dementia. All funds raised are used to provide needed services to older adults. Tickets are available online http://victors.us/BHS2022
