Reflect & Reimagine: Building a More Inclusive, Equitable, & Diverse School of Public Health
University of Michigan School of Public Health
1680 SPH I (Paul B. Cornely Community Room), 1415 Washington Heights Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2029

We invite the School of Public Health community to join us in collective conversation, reflection, and vision casting around our DEI mission, accomplishments, and growth areas. This event will allow us to share the results from our evaluation of the DEI 1.0 strategic plan and reflect on the School’s DEI work over the last five years. We will also spend time looking ahead to (re)imagine what our DEI work should look like in the coming year. To guide us in looking ahead, master craftsperson and SPH alum Theadra Fleming will lead us through an artistic activity aimed at helping our community to bring together our rich and diverse dreams for the future of SPH. We invite all of SPH to join us for this immersive experience where we will use dialogue, discussion, and art-making to cultivate our shared vision for a more Inclusive, Equitable, & Diverse School of Public Health. We will have food and new SPH DEI swag to share. 10-11am: Quiet, unfacilitated “gallery walk” of highlights and growth areas from DEI 1.0 11am-12pm: Facilitated and interactive community conversation on the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities around SPH’s DEI work. 12-1pm: Vision-casting through art-making
