Nathan Miles works with Michigan Public Health alumni and friends to connect their philanthropic goals with the school. He works mainly with individuals in the Midwest and eastern regions of the country. The most rewarding part of his work is seeing the impact philanthropy has on students.
Kris Sarri, MPH ’97, exemplifies the University of Michigan mission of becoming leaders and best through her lifelong dedication to bettering the earth’s health through policy and action. Today, Sarri’s storied career is built upon two decades of work in Washington, DC, at the highest levels of the federal government.

Suzanne Gilbert, MPH ’75 and PhD ’83, has dedicated her life to working in international public health and preventing blindness after co-founding the Seva Foundation with fellow alum Dr. Larry Brilliant, among others, more than 40 years ago. She is the senior director of Research and Strategic Opportunities at Seva’s headquarters in Berkeley, California.
Mariam Jalloul, MPH ’19, chief strategy officer for Dearborn, Michigan, witnessed some rather memorable events during her three years working in Washington, DC, and now she’s ready to leave her mark on her hometown.
