This data was collected from a self-report survey of 2025 graduates from the Department of Nutritional Sciences, administered by the Michigan Public Health Careers Office. This survey had a 96% response rate among Nutritional Sciences graduates.
Among the graduates who responded, 90% indicated that they are employed and 6% indicated that they are currently pursuing an advanced degree, such as a Doctorate.

Nutritional Sciences graduates pursue a wide range of careers across industries and organizations. Salary varies based on position, experience, and sector.
Of the 13 graduates who are employed in the workforce and responded to this question, the minimum salary reported was $54,400 and the maximum salary reported was $84,000.
Farhia Ahmed Mohamed, an MPH student in Nutritional Sciences, landed a highly selective internship at the United Nations, supporting global evaluation work. From Kuwait to Ann Arbor, her path spans clinical nutrition, cross-border research, AI policy and health equity. Her work is focused on systems change, prevention and evidence-based public health impact.
University of Michigan School of Public Health’s Takreed Ali, a member of the Class of 2026 who is graduating with a Master of Public Health in Nutritional Sciences, blends dietetics training, bilingual community service and research connecting Quranic nutrition references with modern science. A single mother and CEW+ scholar, she’s preparing to tackle health disparities through culturally responsive nutrition and food access.
Gloria Charles Mazinga, a clinical nutrition master’s student at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, is recognized for pioneering accessible healthcare solutions for chronic disease in resource-limited settings. Her global experience, leadership and community service impact nutrition protocols, pediatric cancer care, and scholarship support. She was named an Irma M. Wyman Scholar by CEW+ for visionary public health leadership.
