HMP Doctoral candidate awarded runner-up for "Best Paper Led by an Early Career Researcher"

Left: Dori Cross, Right: Professor Catherine PopeCurrent Health Services Organization and Policy Program (HSOP) student, Dori Cross, was awarded runner-up for "Best Paper Led by an Early Career Researcher" at the Organization Behaviour in Healthcare Conference in Cardiff, Wales for her paper "Contextual Factors Influencing Success of Primary Care Teams".

She was presented with the award by Catherine Pope, Professor of Medical Sociology in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southampton.

Dori's research interests focus primarily on care coordination and care transitions, and the role of health IT in supporting these efforts. She is also interested in organizational change in the primary care setting, looking at how health IT implementation and use interacts with other delivery reform efforts such as patient-centered medical homes, pay-for-performance and team-based care.

Prior to pursuing her PhD at the University of Michigan, Dori worked as a research assistant/analyst at the former Center for Studying Health System Change. She received her undergraduate degrees in Health Policy and Management and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
