Health Behavior and Health Equity Certificate for Online MPH Students

A key component of the work carried out by public health practitioners focuses on working with populations to address health inequities. The Health Behavior and Health Equity certificate provides students with a comprehensive overview of content areas critical to promoting health, addressing health inequities, and preventing or managing disease within diverse communities through interventions at multiple levels of influence, namely the individual, family, social, and policy levels.

With the skills you gain in this certificate program you get to blend public health knowledge and research, with action and discover how we can develop interventions through advocacy and policy change. You'll learn how to work to improve health outcomes for communities who may have been marginalized and who experience the burden of unfair treatment due to health policies.
