Professor of Global Public Health
My work focuses on teaching, training, intervention development, and collaboration-building with the goal of improving the health of socioeconomically-vulnerable people with chronic conditions. Most of my own research focuses on the use of accessible technologies (mobile health) to increase access to self-management support at a large scale. Disease areas in which I have worked include diabetes, hypertension, depression, suicidality, chronic pain, and cancer survivorship. Projects include linkages with governmental partners, international policy organizations such as WHO, community-based organizations, and academic institutions.
