Professor of Global Public Health
Summary
For nearly two decades, I have worked in HIV prevention and treatment. Although some of this work centered on efforts within the US, much of it involved collaborations with international colleagues and communities. Across projects and service, my emphasis is on leveraging evidence and best practice from social behavioral science, in terms of intervention, communication, community mobilization, models of change and health, measures and trial design. I am also heavily invested in patient-centered care, stigma reduction, and general health and well-being of those disproportionately affected by infectious and chronic disease.
