After earning a bachelor’s degree, Clements began working toward a master’s degree in Ecosystem Science and Management from the School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS). She then was inspired to pursue a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health Sciences because of her passion to understand how environmental issues impact human health.
Rachel Davis, who is graduating from the University of Michigan School of Public Health with a Master of Science in Biostatistics, has always been intrigued by the immense amount of information one could learn from a dataset. She decided she wanted to use statistics to better the world in some way.
Contrary to popular belief, not everyone in Columbus dislikes the University of Michigan. Just ask Allison Meyer, a native of the Buckeye State capital, who is graduating in April 2023 with a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences.
Claire Liu is pursuing a dual degree from the University of Michigan with a Master of Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education from the School of Public Health and a Master of Science in Physiology from Michigan Medicine. Liu’s passions and her education have influenced her interests in public health.
For Kaveh Ashtari, a Michigan School of Public Health senior working toward a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences, a call to action usually involves helping people. For as long as he can remember, he has been compassionate and empathetic toward friends, family and even strangers.
David Fuller Jr. is a Master of Health Services Administration student who was also the 2022 recipient of the Unsung Hero Award. Through his involvement with Public Health Students of African Descent and his studies, he aims to be a thought leader who makes health equity a reality.
