An eight-month internship in Kenya proved pivotal for Christopher Floyd, BS ’21, MPH ’24, offering practical exposure to global health issues and cultural immersion, further enriching his academic perspectives in public health. Floyd will graduate in May with a Master of Public Health degree in Global Health Epidemiology from Michigan Public Health.
Sukhman Parhar is pursuing a BS in Public Health Sciences from the School of Public Health. Parhar’s passions and education have influenced his interests in public health and medicine.
Shichi Dhar is a pre-medical student who one day wants to be involved in delivering a more holistic approach to healthcare. She is a senior in the Bachelor of Science program at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. To Dhar, “traditional medicine can only do so much,” and that’s why public health is so paramount in her eyes.
Lauren MacConnachie’s personal and professional experiences led her to be deeply interested in public health. Now, she is graduating with a Master of Science in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. In the fall, she will remain at the Michigan Public Health as she begins her pursuit of a doctorate degree in Epidemiology.
Danielle Stone, a self-proclaimed Trekkie, is boldly going where (virtually) no one has gone before: graduating with a Master of Science in Computational Epidemiology and Systems Modeling from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She'll be among the first graduates from the new degree program.
