Lala Sri Fadila, MPH ’24, grew up on the Indonesian island of Bangka in an environment where quality education opportunities were unevenly distributed. Now, she will graduate in May from the University of Michigan School of Public Health with a Master of Public Health in Nutritional Sciences.
Jonathan Amos, MPH ’24, has had a longstanding interest in social policy and politics. It was their initial experience as a professional navigating the complex US healthcare system that led them to understand the importance of health policy and public health to improve lives and advance equity. Having a connection with people has always been important to Krissy Tate, MPH ’23, who earned a master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, whether that’s by dancing on a stage in front of an audience or by one day soon counseling patients as a registered dietitian nutritionist.
Allison and Caroline Tuohy took different routes as they studied towards earning their degrees from the University of Michigan School of Public Health but reached a similar destination. Allison focused on a degree in Community and Global Public Health, while her younger sister, Caroline, majored in Public Health Sciences.
