Master’s Student in Nutritional Sciences

Christian Mackey is a Master of Public Health student in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. This summer, Christian interned with Project Healthy Schools, a collaborative between the University of Michigan and several communities around the state.

His internship took him to many middle schools in the Ann Arbor area—both to classrooms and school gardens—to spread the word about healthy eating to students and their families.

What we're missing out on these days is a quality of life. We can get quantity, 80 years of life is a long life to have but a lot of people are living 25 of those years in poor health.
