Master of Public Health students Sandra Giramahoro Coyne and Jelena Verkler interned last summer at different divisions of The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services in Lansing, where they put their epidemiology skills to good use.

Having an opportunity to work as a newborn screening intern allowed me to help in the process of protecting their health from the very beginning
