Michigan Public Health researchers address key housing needs

The 2024 Michigan Statewide Housing Needs Assessment, developed through a collaborative effort between the University of Michigan's Housing Solutions for Health Equity (HSHE) and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), sheds light on critical housing challenges and opportunities in building a stable, equitable future for all residents.
This video explores key insights from the report, including the persistent racial disparities in homeownership, the rising costs of housing, and the burden of affordability on Michigan's lowest-income residents. Michigan Public Health experts discuss how housing instability, amplified by the Great Recession and COVID-19, impacts health and well-being across the state.
